I love seeing all the great projects people have created using toilet paper rolls. For Fall, I thought I'd try to create something of my own. My goal was to make something that cost nothing and here it is...my totally free, toilet paper roll art!
This project was simple. I saw this rolled paper frame and knew it would be perfect (I antiqued the background with a layer of Mod-Podge and watered down paint). The toilet paper roll strips are 3/4". After painting and shaping them, I dipped the edges in glue and stuck them on the background. I threaded a piece of wire through the stem, curled the edges and threaded a leaf onto it. I used wire and raffia to make a hanger and hot glued it to the back.
You can change the shape of the pumpkin by changing where your folds are. This is what mine looked like before I shaped them. I'm thinking I'll try a couple more, a tall skinny one and a short squatty one.
I created this printable paper for the background and frame. You can download it and create your own. Enjoy!
